Seeks representation on policy-making bodies
Promotes appropriate training for those involved in providing special education support
Produces and circulates periodicals and journals throughout Australia and New Zealand
Assists parents in supporting their children with special education needs
Encourages governments to allocate appropriate resources to the education of people with special education needs
Promotes among decision-makers in the community an awareness of the needs and issues of concern to people with special education needs
