of people with special education needs
- Seeks representation on policy-making bodies
- Promotes appropriate training for those involved in providing special
education support
- Produces and circulates periodicals and journals throughout Australia
and New Zealand
- Assists parents in supporting their children with special education
needs
- Encourages governments to allocate appropriate resources to the education
of people with special education needs
- Promotes among decision-makers in the community an awareness of the
needs and issues of concern to people with special education needs
