As advocates, Education Associations are able to represent the interests of members in a variety of forums and bring the understanding and vision of practitioners to the forefront.
These associations make a unique and valuable contribution to the professional lives of members and education in the community as a whole.
COACTEA is ideally placed to assist professional associations to better meet the needs of their members and to promote the important role that associations play in both the education and the general community.
COACTEA is able to offer member associations benefits flowing from participation in COACTEA/Australian Joint Council(AJC) or government funded initiatives, e.g. the EdNA project.
Member associations have the opportunity to participate in these projects which may provide a worthwhile benefit to their own association and/or members, specialized training and development for their members, and lead to enhanced promotion of their association and its activities.
